Donald Trump, former Florida governor Jeb Bush, and Texas Senator Ted Cruz garnered the most buzz online during last night’s Republican debate on CNN despite former HP chief executive Carly Fiorina’s much-talked about performance, according to social data firm Synthesio. The social platform tracked social media, blogs, media sites and forums from yesterday until this morning and found that Donald Trump generated 31.8 per cent of mentions, the most out of all 11 candidates who participated. Jeb Bush received 12.9 per cent of mentions while Ted Cruz saw 9.4, and neurosurgeon Ben Carson and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul each generated around 8 per cent.
